Diabetics at Jamba Juice:
Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.
Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:
Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.
Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

We stopped at this restaurant for Mother's Day brunch. We were promptly seated in an outside area, which was very pleasant and casual. We ordered a couple of beers but since it was before 1:00, we had to wait a few minutes to get the beers. Apparently, liquor laws prohibit sales prior to 1:00 pm, something that is foreign to DC. The waitress was very pleasant. I love how everyone calls you "honey" and "sweetie" here. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive. So the food is about what you would anticipate for the price. Not amazing but not inedible. I had a steak sub that was a bit cold and over salted, but generous in portion. My daughter had blueberry blintz's, which she pronounced "tasty". Overall, call it "Meh". You won't remember it being great nor terrible. For disclosure, I'm accustomed to restaurants in DC, Frederick and NY. Therefore, when I rate a restaurant it is against these benchmarks. If you are accustomed to restaurants in Charlestown, WV, this may be incredible food. Just sayin'.

Really liked the cream of crab soup! Would suggest it to anyone who likes crab soup with a little kick to it!

This is one of those times I wish I could give 0 stars. Knowing that things often close on the early side in small towns, I called at 7:13 to ask how late the restaurant was open and was told by the woman who answered the phone that the last seating would be at 9. My friends and I gathered up our things, got in the car, and drove to the restaurant. Found parking directly outside, and walked up to a sign posted outside: "LAST SEATING AT 7". If you don't tell your staff before you put a giant sign outdoors, I have no hope for the experience of eating here. Also, if you don't tell your staff when you have ALREADY STOPPED seating, that's a bad sign, as well. The hostess came out as we walked up and said, sometime we close early when it's slow. I told her we had called and been told they would seat until 9, and she shrugged and said, nope. I looked at my phone as we walked away: 7:40. We ended up at Tari's down the street, which was absolutely fantastic. I highly suggest you go there, instead.

I have worked in restaurants for 20+ years. I have never, ever, and I mean never, had crab bisque that was this amazing. What a great staff too! Dina

Great food! Second trip to Berkeley and had to stop back at Ambrae. Food and wine are fantastic...service is friendly and attentive. If you come to Berkeley, don't miss this place!

Came for dinner - did not stay at Inn. Food was so-so.. and frankly a disappointment. My wife ordered the crab bisque - which she enjoyed - although said it tasted more like a crab chowder then a bisque. The broccoli did not look good at all. Went thinking it would have terrific atmosphere, and was disappointing. The outdoor patio was closed b/c of the cold.. maybe that would have helped. Did not stay for dessert.

We stayed at the Inn for our anniversary. After riding on the nearby bike trails, we checked in around 3:30 and had a lite late lunch - our salads were excellent and eating them on the patio and sipping Proscecco made it feel like we were starting a little getaway. The rooms were also nicely done, comfortable yet classy decor, very spacious, a comfy bed and a large bathroom. Topping it off, Gary was a gracious host, made us feel welcome. We sure hope to come back soon.

The food here is outstanding and I would have to put this as one of my favorites restaurants that I've been too. The Bhang Bhang Shrimp was out of control amazing and the fried spinach served with it was delish; seriously, I can't stop thinking about those. I also had the bison burger which was fabulous as well. Our server was super sweet and the prices were fairly reasonable. Entrees looked a bit more expensive but I'm sure they're well worth it considering the quality of the meal that we had. I would recommend this restaurant very very highly! I will be back!!

I ate dinner here recently with a large party and did not have a good experience. The waitress was terrible. When she took our drink order, she took ten out of eleven orders--we had to ask her three times to bring a drink to the eleventh person. We received our appetizers in fairly good time but then there was at least an hour wait for our entrees. Someone came to our table, perhaps the owner or manager (she didn't say), and told us there was a problem with their gas supply and apologized, and sent out one appetizer order of steamed spiced shrimp gratis, (which was nice although at least three of us don't eat shrimp), but it was a very LONG time to wait with two elderly seniors and three children under eight. We were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday that night and the dinner experience put a bit of a damper to the celebration. The food was okay, not great--certainly not worth the wait. If the waitress had been an experienced professional (and paid some attention to our table--we had long stretches where she completely ignored us), and the food had been absolutely delicious, the wait probably wouldn't have been so onerous. I don't recommend this place for a special time. And whatever you do, don't order the frozen margarita--we had to send it back because it tasted like it had been in the freezer for months. Speaking of drinks, though, I should add that they have a great selection of wines by the glass. So maybe coming here just for a little wine time would be best.

Ambraehouse is a great place to stay in Berkeley Springs! They are located right downtown and just opened a few months ago. They have 3 rooms along with a bar and restaurant. The rooms are very tasteful, modern, and comfortable. The breakfast, which is included, is delicious! We also enjoyed the thai fish cakes and cheese/cracker appetizers during our nightly happy hour at the bar while chatting with the staff. The staff is super-friendly and very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend this place.

Flew from Chicago to N. Va. to spend some time with my best buddy, and then we headed to Berkeley Springs for a couple of days of rest and relaxation. We were a little disappointed that so many of the shops and restaurants weren't open, but our stay at Ambraehouse made up for it. We stayed in the Burgundy room, which was big, comfortable and very nicely decorated; the bathroom was great..loved the air jet soaking tub! Breakfasts were both great. What really made the place were the owners..Lisa and Gary. They were so friendly and so much fun to spend time with. Lisa was the perfect hostess; booking us massages, finding us an art studio that would open for us to tour--making sure that we had what we needed at all times. Gary did everything he could for us; carrying our bags, getting us drinks, and making us laugh. If we head back to Berkeley Springs, there's no doubt that this is where we'd stay again.

Watched World Cup (Brazil v. Columbia) from the patio bar, which was DYI primitive in a good way. Wait staff was incredibly friendly. It felt like we were locals. Food was good for the price. Crab bisque was delicious as was he spicy shrimp appetizer (50% off for happy hour!) Kid friendly but not kid overrun. We definitely enjoyed.

Cute little place to get a nice bite to eat. This is a bed and breakfast that has an adorable bar with a interesting staff. The bartender knows his wine. We had happy hour appetizers at half price. Bhang bhang shrimp was delicious. The artichoke dip was good as was the ceviche. We closed it up with a cheese tray and were satisfied. What's mot interesting is the conversation with the locals. Love this place. I only gave it three stars because the food is more upscale bar style but service is very casual. I would still recommend coming to this place. Good vibe.

Stopped here with the wife for lunch on our way through town. We sat on their covered patio which was nice. The crab cakes my wife had were simply spectacular and gigantic! Not much filler in the crab cakes but huge chunks of lump crab. I had the fish taco, good yes, but they need something but I can't put my finger on it. The Taco was to big, maybe split it up into 2 smaller tacos would be nice for me. The steamed shrimp were also good but sort of small for peel and eat shrimp. They were slightly overcooked and could have used a little bit more seasoning on them. I will stop again for lunch.

My wife and I had a great time staying here on a long weekend getaway. We stayed in the Chablis room and really enjoyed how cozy the room was. It really did feel like we were at home. Lisa and Gary really go out of their way to make sure you are happy and have everything you need. For breakfast every morning Gary met us at a table and cooked up whatever we wanted. It was really quite good. My wife particularly loved the air jet bathtub (HUGE TUB). We spent a little time at the outdoor bar and had a few glasses of wine, and listened to some live music. The only meals we ate were breakfast and those were great. The restaurant opens for lunch and stays open through dinner and later into the evening. When we go back we will be staying here again.

Had the most wonderful weekend with my husband at the Ambraehouse. We stayed in the champagne room which was absoloutely beautiful and had the most comfortable bed ever. Lisa and Gary are both fantastic, and all of the staff made our visit really special. We plan on returning again very soon.
(5)Rina C.
went there for a quick lunch before hot spring. had the soup of the day--bean veggie soup angus burger and crab cake. everything taste quite good. the food takes a while to come out though. so don't come here if you are in a hurry!

Wanted to get away for the weekend and have some much needed quality alone time together my boy and I decided Berkeley Springs, WV was just the right place to get away. Knowing we needed modern and cozy the Ambraehouse looked like the place for us. We stayed in the Champagne room on the top floor for the weekend plus's- Modern- loved being able to watch TV and have the internet at a B&B Comfortable- Big King size bed, comfy couches, and warm inviting colors Staff- Friendly, Helpful, Welcoming! they really did make you feel like family and that they were more than happy to help in ANY WAY!! Spacious- did not feel cramped and the layout allowed for a lot of room to walk around Bathroom- LOVED having separate tub and shower, it really was a great perk of the room! minus's Noisy- being on the main drag of town and the windows/bed facing the street- We heard semi's rolling down the street throughout the night The Extra's- for the price I was just hoping for a little more, maybe nice soaps and lotions in the bathroom, bubbles for the tub and last NO LIQUOR :( All in all this was a great place to get away to and we are more than happy with our choice to stay here!
(4)Allie E.
It started off bad, and then got worse. We made a reservation, but when we arrived, they'd "lost" it. With barely an apology "(We must have lost your reservation, so I'm sorry but this is the best I can do."), they ended up seating us in the bar at high tables where our feet swang the whole night. I was against the window, and it was so cold in that spot that I had to keep my scarf and coat on zipped up all night. Super-annoying. The food was lackluster. It seemed like pre-made bar food that they just defrosted and heated. I have food allergies, and they weren't able to make any adjustments for me, so I know the food wasn't made fresh to order- at least not that night. Additionally, they acted like no one with food allergies had ever walked into their restaurant before. They just told me "No, no, no" to dish after dish instead of suggesting alternatives or asking the chef to prepare it differently (I'm allergic to tomatoes and citrus- shouldn't be exceedingly difficult to work around). I ended up ordering a hamburger "special" that was supposed to be a spicy burger with blue cheese and hot sauce. They did remember to leave off the hot sauce when I ordered it that way (tomato allergy), so that was good. But the burger was SO dry- it was like a hockey puck. The spicy seasoning wasn't evenly distributed throughout the meat, so one bite was so spicy it choked my throat up, and other bites were bland. I ordered the burger medium, but it came out grey all the way through- completely overcooked. I think it was past well done, given the dryness- it was almost brittle. The fries were limp and tasted like they'd been made at the beginning of the night and then sat under a heat lamp. I left half my dinner on the plate, and they never even asked if everything was ok. They also never offered us a dessert menu, so I can't provide a review of their desserts. I will say that they did let my friend try a couple of wines to find one she liked, so that was good. My other friend enjoyed her crab bisque. Maybe if you're just looking for a place to have a drink, this would fit the bill. If you're looking for a nice place to treat yourself or friends and family- look elsewhere. Oh, and whoever wrote that this place was dressy is wrong. Everyone in the restaurant had on jeans. No need to dress up- the staff was casual, too.

Food very good, as was the service We liked the way a charming old house was decorated with a contemporary flair. Berkley Springs is a lovely town. Will eat there again!
(4)Lyn R.
Very good cream of crab soup but service was uneven. I would give this place another try because we were only there for a bowl of soup mid-day but I think Tari's across the street is probably the better choice.
(3)Matthew K.
My friends and I were seated very quickly but waited 10 minutes before our waitress came to take our drink order. We just ordered all of our food then because we didn't know when she would be back. Appetizers showed up 25 minutes later. What really made me upset was watching our waitress do shots at the bar with customers. My table only saw her 2 times. Once to get our order and once to give us our check. We were planning on getting dessert and probably have more drinks because the atmosphere was really nice. But the waitress alone ruined the night for us. I live near Berkeley springs and will never go back to ambraehouse

The Taco was to big, maybe split it up into 2 smaller tacos would be nice for me. The steamed shrimp were also good but sort of small for peel and eat shrimp. They were slightly overcooked and could have used a little bit more seasoning on them. I will stop again for lunch.

My wife and I had lunch here the day after a huge snow storm that shut down the town. There wasn't much activity in town so we were happy that the Ambraehouse was open. We both had the crab cakes. They were fresh, full of lumps of crab and little binder, and served on the right kind of roll. The remoulade was excellent and brought out the crab flavor without overwhelming it. The server was friendly and efficient and the owner was pleasant. Will definitely go back to the Ambraehouse.

Good vibe.

My husband and I have been there twice. We traveled to Berkeley Springs for Valentine's Day. I was worried about not being able to get a table anywhere for dinner. We were seated immediately. Staff was friendly. I am from MD, and thought whether or not I wanted a crabcake. Some places just don't get a good Maryland style crabcake. Ambraehouse, did not let me down. It was delicious. Their side salads were so fresh, and we did not have any complaints. My husband even tried one of the local beers. Everything was just fantastic.

Very good cream of crab soup but service was uneven. I would give this place another try because we were only there for a bowl of soup mid-day but I think Tari's across the street is probably the better choice.
